I have a cubby hole plate from Eric (in the classifieds), and have my Autometer Z-series boost gauge coming. I will be using the gauge for a fuel pressure gauge. My question is this:

What size of hole saw should I use so that the fit of my gauge is tight in the plate (like it is in the pillar mount) or is there a better/different way to mount it?

Thanks, Josh.

hmmm....

a 2 foot hole, huh? "I believe a 2' holesaw... " Don't ya think that's a little overkill, I mean, I don't want it to take up the whole dash... . what did I get myself into? ;) hehe

Thanks for the info. I don't have access to my full tool chest here at school, so only want to buy something once. I figured the 2" would work, but wasn't sure. Didn't want to drill w/ a 2-1/16" and have the gauge wobbling around in there.

Thanks again.

Josh.

just a note, home made angle rings can be made from 2" abs drain pipe. [i used that to make my gauge mounts in my tahoe in a cheap $20 floor console from walmart]
