I was messing around with my truck today and I crawled underneath to look for those holes that I read about on one of the posts sometime back about holes that have tape and not plugs. My truck was manufactured in late May of this year, so, if I recall what I read, it should have tape covering the holes. But, I didn't see any. Where should I be looking for these holes, how many are there? Do the body plugs had a part number? The dealer "gave" me an undercoat job when I bought the truck, so maybe it's harder to see the tape or plugged holes. Thanks for the help!

if you have the quad cab, i believe there are 16 plugs [8 per side] and they are located on the back side of the rocker panel/door sill. mine has tape, and on a more convienent day, i will go to dealer and have them replaced with plugs. tape is mickey mouse...

After reading that other post, I wrote it down to check on my Pre-Purchase Inspection (I tend to be fairly organized!). Sure enough, I have the tape. I told my salesman, who was flabergasted that I would possibly know such a thing:rolleyes: . Plugs have been ordered no charge and will be installed next week. FYI, the back of the rockers were sprayed with a textured black paint (truck has NOT been undercoated) and I had trouble finding the tape. If you look real hard and poke at the tape, you will find them. The paint must have been the factories idea of hiding and/or making the tape a more permanent fix. Of course, if you have the plugs, you will see them right away.

Hope this helps

Dave
