All of the second Gen owner with a 24v need to save up for one of these I just put Marco's Smarty demo from Bob Wagner on my truck tonight and OH MY GOSH!!!! you guys wouldn't believe it but it almost like my truck is a different truck all together I am soooooo impressed with it. I am going to fill up in the mornig and try to drive it like I normally would to see if the mileage is that much better I will keep you guys posted.

I am listening, tell me more. More power? Better milage? What is the over all difference and what was the price. I am trying to weigh the value of the mod compared to the cost. Thanks

More power, yes. Lots and lots more, probably not. MUCH improved drivability though. Spools earlier and the low end is incredible. I think I can probably put down more HP with my comp, but the Smarty is just so much more fun to drive. I leave the comp off now. Yes, there is a fuel saving program in Smarty too, but I have not used it as I've only had it a week and am having way too much fun with #9. Price is similar to a new Edge Comp. Hands down the Smarty is the better choice, IMO. Like 480RUGER said... "No need to test it. You need it... ".

I noticed a difference when my Superchip programmer crapped out and put my truck back to stock. I didn't drive the truck for a couple days and I totally forgot about it. I was driving, and think... what the heck, truck is a total dog... and then I realized it.

I've gotten used to it now. And my fuel mileage went from 16mpg with the Superchip to 19mpg stock... driving the same route. Less power, but better fuel mileage... I can deal with that. Especially at $3. 20 a gallon!

After I get my transmission built properly, Smarty will be on the list.

The Smarty on #8 & comp on 5X5 is a thing to behold. I left an 80ft Posi S on the street next to our shop 2 months ago that is still there. I have 33" Big Foot tires on my truck and I think thats alot of tire to do that. I giggle every time I pass it. I have settled on driving with the Smarty on #8 and Comp on 3X3 most of the time. In stop and go traffic I'll turn off the comp. (to much smoke when you punch it) But out in the open its great.

I've run three tanks of fuel on 'fuel saver' setting and averaged 19. 8 mpg. Pre-Smarty I would be lucky to get 17 mpg. About 60% highway / 40% stop n go. Now, back to SW#9. :)
