Ok guys, I've read a few posts on the holley blue pump as a pusher... But I have questions.

First off... . Where is the best place to find them... I've search for Holley Blue on summit and cant find what I am looking for...

Also... I've read some post where some people that are still using the factory lift pump are by passing them and some run still running thru them without bypasses... What is the correct way to do this? Wiring/ diagrams etc... .

Thanks for the input... .

Rick

It's been working great for me!

I use it to feed the stock LP and I run between 25psi to a low of 17 psi. .

I got mine at Autozone..... only thing I've ever got there :p

Had to chime in here,sorry.

I purchased the geno's pump relocation kit and removed my 3rd bad lift pump.

I installed the holley blue pump I had on the shelf for the last year.

The change / install was not hard but just took some time to drill new holes for the mounting bracket's new location just behind the cross member.

Go to Sears and get a 17mm stuby combo wrench for the banjo bolts at the old pump etc. Credit for the this 17mm tip goes to Bob Wagner in another post.

My only concern is that I only have 10/11 psi and not higher at normal driving.

At higher boost it will drop to 8psi (wot)

I thought the normal psi would be higher. :(

I did not mean to highjack your thread.

I have my holly blue sitting just ahead of the box inside the frame inline with the fuel lines. it pushes thru my stock LP. I picked mine up from AutoZone for around 110. 00 Im around 20lbs and it hardly drops psi under WOT, The pump is loud when running when you do the key on wait to start but once the cummins fires its hard to hear. I just tell people its my little motor starting the big motor hahah

Hope this helps!!!! any questions just ask!

I don't have a fuel pressure gauge "yet", but I noticed that when I have the SMARTY on #8 and TST on 2/2 the top end doesn't stop pulling and drop off like it did before I put the blue pump on. I cut into the stock line right out side of the tank and ran 3/8's inch S/S aero equip line with nice AN fittings.

Save yourself alot of hassle and just get a Glacier 392 lift pump system. I had a friend who did the Holley blue, and did the Holley blue, and did the Holley blue... well, I think he went through four or so before he got rid of that truck. The pumps weren't intended for diesel, gas only.

Then again you could get the 12v lp and a cam with the lobe and never worry again and have the added performance.

Ive got a almost new holley blue ill sell ya. Just put it on by its self to see what king of psi it had and took it off (ran for 2 mins) probably got 2 or 3 lp also. Ill just keep the regulator cause im seeing 25-30+ (pegged fp guage) :-laf

I lost my stock Liftpump and added a Holley Blue on the rail right in front of the tank about 1 year and a half ago. I did not have a FP guage but it worked well. I have since gone with FASS. :-laf

not to hijack the thread but Id like to add a filter setup somewhat like a FASS to my fuel system, Should I put it PRE HOLLY or POST? Where can I get a filtration setup like that? Glacier diesel does but I checked my local cummins shop and the screw on filters from fleetguard are around 18. 00 and I cant see the rest of the fittings costing 160. 00!!
