I am doing my Cummins Converson into the F350, I have the motor installed, but am wondering about the Electric Fuel Pump that I have installed for the Ford IDI 7,3. Can I use that with the Cummins? or just remove it and use the stock lift pump?

I do have bigger injectors, 3200 gov spring, larger turbo, Smokey power pin, and the usual pump mods.

If the electiic pump isnt needed is there another higher performance pump that I would need with my mods,. . ?

Thanks!

I'd check the fuel pressure with the stock lift pump. If it dips below 4-5psi on a hard WOT run, replace it with a low pressure piston lift pump (Cummins #3936320). It will peak at about 15-16psi, and supply enough fuel for about 350-375hp, IIRC, maybe a hair more.

I just dont trust electric/ electronic stuff. Part of why I have a mechanical engine.
