Supersport, I need to warn you that Piers is a dozen valver #ad
#ad
Keep one eye on him at all times #ad

I guess several of us are going to the H2. It would appear that I have exceded the parameters of the HX40. I need another 10 psi to cool off the super twin dozen valved motor.

High five to Smokkkkkin Dave Mitchell for getting the ball rolling regarding the H2 #ad

What is different about the H2 as opposed to the HX40 other than the 17cm2 housing? Does it have a higher pressure ratio compressor? I would imagine it would pose a larger turbo lag as opposed to the HX40-16cm2... does anyone know? Thanks.

Don't worry Piers, I got your back. I'll hang some kind of powerbox in front of the 24 valvers to keep them at bay while you do what you have to do. #ad

P. S. I still love you 24 valvers, you're all still family to me.

It,s the size of a HX55, with a 17cm exh housing. It has a 4. 75"exh outlet. I got quicker turbo responce with a HX40/16cm than with a HX35/16cm. This will be interseting to see how this works out. But this if for people looking for serious boost and hp #,s.

The H2E might work well in a sequential turbo setup... with the H2E off the manifold to spool up a wastegated HX35/12cm2. This should broaded the power range for those that pull heavy loads (not needed for drag racing).

"Smokin' Dave" said they had one on a truck doin' sled pulls and they put a bunch of passes on it runnin' 62 psi! #ad

I WANT I WANT!!! #ad

We hear that since then it did finally give up although it has proven to be more durable then the HX40. I would like to run 55 psi and it appears the H2 can hang with that level... RAH! I believe the H2 has a shaft that is 1mm larger in dia then the HX40. The journal is slightly wider too if I recall correctly.

Adam's HX40 vomitted at 55 psi so I am a lil skittish about adjusting my wastegate any higher.

Another quick point. A friend who runs a different brand has installed the latest greatest turbo technology on his brand F truck and guess what? It turns out to be an HX40! The other thing is it's costing those guys much more for the turbos. We are lucky in that regard since we are able to get these hand me down components from our bigger brothers, the M11 in this case. It's #ad
!

Is the H2E the same turbo that's on www.enterpriseengine.com listed under M11 turbo? Does anyone know whether the H2E will be as "streetable" as the HX40-16cm2? Thanks in advance.

I,m not sure what turbo he is selling. The current M11 use,s a HX55 with a 22cm housing. The H2 is the same size turbo but is an older model.

How it affects driveablity i don,t know. But i,m going to find out.

Hi all,

I have been meaning to ask this question out of curiosity (and ignorance), but which turbo is the stock one on a 2001 ETH engine?

Thanks,
Tom

I'm glad Tom asked about the stock '01 ETH turbo, as I was wondering myself. The next obvious qustion then is, should I change the 12cm2 housing? I'm not BOMBing yet but if this will lower exhaust back pressure and EGT's I'm interested. What size to go with and any other advanteges? Any disadvanteges? How does a larger housing affect turbo spool up?

Finally got every thang hooked up and went for for a joy ride. The truck seems lazy until it gets some rpm. I picked up 2-3psi of boost and dropped my egt,s 300. I was alittle disappointed after the first test ride. I decided to try a test. I removed my 4"muffler. What a difference!!!!!!!!!!Much quicker spool up and power. Lag is alittle worse than a HX40,But 53psi and 1300 exh temps. I think a little more fueling will help.

Any 24v truck having problems with the truck stumbling or dying after a hard pull. I got another fuel system trick that will help. You can email me or HVAC.
