Remote fuel filter mount on frame rail

I'll try to get Jason to post some pictures tomorrow. If he has tested it, I'll see if he will post some performance data.

I sent one to Van Haisley for testing, he put it on his sons truck. Said it was one of the best spooling big turbo's he's ever had. He was supposed to waste gate it to 50psi... . course the age old story... no time, so they blew it up at the 300' mark at 62lbs boost. Probably the biggest issue is that you'll need to wastegate it & it's a big foot, so either an adapter or wait, until the new ATS manifold, built with a big foot flange, is ready.

Called ATS today, they told me it would be 6-8 months til the manifold is done. Does anybody know a good set point for the external waste gate? Maybe 52 psi? Could this turbo make 600 hp?

Yes it would make 600 and 50 psi is from Holset's mouth! So this means in Twins it would be making 35..... fat part of the map! Now that makes me think of the 52 at 35psi and the B/B at 40... ..... ouch!

Keep in mind a stock 35 will make 450!

Hi Matt,

it's being made so you can bolt a H2E or similar turbo right to the manifold.

Howdy Piers:

I think the H2E has a T04 style flange... if so, that's definitely a step in the right direction. The T3 flange is okay... but they're pretty restrictive. The good part about T3's is that they're like opinions... everyone's got one.

So, is this Pro 52 turbo an OEM off the shelf Holset? ... and has a compressor map good (~70% efficient) until 50psi?! If so, that's sweet.

Hey Matt,

The Pro 52 is a genuine off the shelf Holset from their aftermarket division. As far as I know, there are currently no OEMs using this turbo. I am yet to see any specifications for this turbo.

If anyone has any specification please, post em’.

The only place I saw any info was in the ADS publication 'Nozzle Chatter" It was an advertisement comparing the maps of hx-40, super 40, pro 52. And that was around 6 months ago.
