Greaseable u-joints.

Remote fuel filter mount on frame rail

SRossi where'd u go?!?

More info! haha

1) Does anyone know when the ATS exhaust manifold will be available and if the Pro 52 will be a direct bolt up?

2) What is involved wastegating this guy to say 45psi?

3) I'm willing to live with a little lag as long as towing heavy (20k) 'round 2000rpm with this turbo keeps my EGT to 1300 or below... thoughts??? (EDM 3. 4s & drag comp)

On the same note... would the HT2B turbo perform similar to the Pro 52 with respect to my comments/questions above? It would be a few hundred bucks cheaper etc. etc.

Sorry for ditchin the thread fellas. Been real busy getting the new shop up. . Here are some videos from a few nights ago of the Pro-52 in action. I think my last run was the only run I did in 5x5. I was thinking this turbo was not enoughfor the Mach 5 injectors, but this video showed me alot of what I didnt know when I am racing. . It seems like I may have to try Don M's new Mach 7's when he's done with them. .

Smokin the locals

I havent taken any pics of the turbo installed yet (my engine compartment is a disgrace). . But here it is before install

I try to leave the line at 15 psi, it seems to be the best for launching. I have noticed that when it is humid out (like in these videos) it takes a long time to spool. One night I ran when it was about 52*F out and only 40% humidity and it didnt even take 2 seconds to hit 20 psi. . I ended up leaving the line at 30 psi and doing a full 4 wheel tire cooker to the 100 ft mark. .

Jpickens- To answer your question, i would not reccomend using this turbo for towing. Just towing my boat up small hills in OD, I get past 1400*F. If I keep it in 3rd gear and keep my rpms high, I usually stay around 1100*F

Wow, 9hr 35min download. Hopefully it will be done before I leave in the morning. :D

Edit: Down to 6hr 43 min. Oo.

Down to under 6hrs now... ... . around 5 3/4... ... .

No big deal on download time. :) I'm just excited to watch the video!! Love long videos on here! Will probably wait until I get home tomorrow to watch it. Or else I can pull it up on the other server tomorrow morning.

The video is pretty cool...

Doesn't seem like the PRO-52 is all that laggy... I've seen much worse.

Matt

On edit: This sure looks like an aftermarket turbo to me... note the adapter plate (T3 to T04) on the turbine inlet and the oil line adapter. The compressor inducer is much bigger than the stocker too...

Nevermind... that's an H2E.

Thanks for bringing this back up to the top Matt. I'll see how the movie downloads here at the tech campus. about 13 min it says, at a ~230 KB/Sec transfer rate. What was the quoted price again, just for clarification?

That was at home... on my machine at work sitting on a T3 connection the best the hosting providor could spit out was 1. 2 MB/Sec - ~2min 30sec dload

Still very good file upload rate from that providor.

I checked the connection at the tech school.

I was expecting a box on the background asking about opening the file since I saved it last night here. I'll have to check my folder in my documents.

Cool video!!

SRossi - great movie... gives one goosebumps to see such a heavy vehicle hustle like that.

"Jpickens- To answer your question, i would not reccomend using this turbo for towing. Just towing my boat up small hills in OD, I get past 1400*F. If I keep it in 3rd gear and keep my rpms high, I usually stay around 1100*F"

Shoot... I'm running EDM 3. 4s and with the drag comp off can tow 20k (total) up modest grades at 60/65 mph in 6th gear and stay right at 1300 deg. with about 3/4 pedal left.

I'm hoping for a turbo that will knock that down a few hundred deg. so i can put some more pedal in it etc. etc. Might have to experiment with water injection!

With RV inj. and an edge ez i could pull that weight up STEEP grades at 90mph at full throttle with the pyro hovering between 1250 and 1300

Something tells me I might not ever get back to that happy towing eutopia

T04 flange ATS manifold!

My brother Shane @ Industrial Injection has a Prototype ATS T04 flange exhaust manifold that he would be willing to part with. He also has the new Holset turbochargers in stock. Give him a call if you are interested 800-955-0476.

Where do I have to get the CODEC to play it??

I have XP pro SP1, WMP version 10.

The video gagged Windows Media Player...

So, I used the old standby - VLC Media Player.

Too bad a vendor didn't need some turbo(s)/manifold testing done... I'm getting some BIG Massdiesel EDM's soonish.

So I just got back from May Madness with a few dyno runs. . Not really what I was expecting. It only made 485 hp on 5x5 Comp box, only boosting about 50 psi. . The dyno graph showed a very steady and straight rise in power, indicating too much fuel and alot of lag. It didnt have the massive spike that alot of turbos produce when they hit boost. .

I think this turbo is WAYYY too big for just a fueled 24v. . I think it would be better suited for a nitroused 24v or very heavily fueled and cammed 12v. .

Im going to step down the HTB2/64 and maybe keep this Pro-52 on the shelf unless i get a good deal for it. . I may throw it back on after I get the new cam and port the head. .
