The HX-40 on the <b>ISC</b> already has an integral coolant jacket. In fact, the outlet from the turbo is also a vent line when filling the system. It prevents an air bubble from holding in the water pump vanes.



I'm curious if a VGT turbo will be part of the new emission ISC coming in 2002. Detroit Diesel has the Garrett VGT turbo on the Series 50. The Series 50 is now only available with cooled EGR, too. I hear the new ISC will also have cooled EGR.



I'll keeping digging for more info, too.

did anybody catch the turbo on that diesel....

Did anybody see that article on the new isb in the latest edition of North American Diesel Progress? It said that the new isb will have one of these. Now it said that this was the bus version but still none the less, this will be the turbo on the next Ram Diesel.



The article also said 275 was the highest hp rating while 660 ft-lbs. I think that they will put a different ECM program in it, how bout you?

im probably getting a hold of a good vgt turbo from a detroit series 50... i still haven't seen it with my own eyes yet . . but i here its much bigger then the one on hie on my cummins. . hehe and i may be able to snag the control for the variable nozzel. . mummn can i say i need a big inline pump to get enough fuel to poer my new soon to be twin turbo setup . . hehe any one have atwin turbo 1st gen yet?...

any one have any info on the series 50 turbos?
