I just turned the AFC wheel all the way out on my 96 3500 (see mods in sig) All I can say is OH MY GOSH! the truck is stupid quick to rev and it faster than anything that big should be. I cant belive I didnt do this 6 months ago!!! the low end response is 110% better and it black smokes like its a tire fire! :) I love my truck!!!

When adjusting the star wheel for more fuel at low boost does the top of the wheel get turned towards the engine or away ?.

If vehicle is still slow to accelerate or has too much smoke, adjust the AFC setting as required . To adjust, remove the large plug on top of the AFC housing (see FIGURE 7) using an 8 mm allen wrench. Take care NOT to lose the sealing washer under the plug. Removing the plug exposes a star wheel which changes the quickness of fueling response to boost. If acceleration is weak with minimal smoke, rotate top of the star wheel toward the engine a few revolutions. If vehicle has heavy black smoke on initial acceleration, rotate top of star wheel away from engine a few revolutions. Reinstall large plug with sealing washer and test drive vehicle again. It may take repeated attempts to get this adjustment set. If heavy smoke is still encountered with star wheel moved completely to rear position, go back to step 26, loosen AFC housing and slide it rearward a 1/16 inch, retighten and test again. Repeat unit desired results occur.

oh my..... my Con OFE 13 is slipping now!!!! Anyone know if I can just get a new disc???? Or does the next level up have a differant pressure plate too?
 
I backed my star wheel out(top towards the motor a couple weeks ago. all the way baby. I ain't never goin back... lol. Just set my stock plate ll the way forward 2 days ago. wow. . will be regulating with my foot. thinking about a #10 plate and a 3k gsk.

4" exhaust 1st though,stock hx35,stock transmission,for now :) fuel lines replaced already,what a leak. Oo.
 
afc adjustment

has any of you guyS HAVE YOUR RPM'S INCREASE .

after i did mine my rpm's went from about 750idle to 1100,

load 650to 900 rpm's is this expected?

i also checked the spring in fuel return line it was about 3/8's stretched it to about 1/2 inch. can any of you help?:(
