This thing is awesome. I didnt really think it would make much difference.

Then my buddy let me use his. I set it on Smarty #9 and TST #4. This thing really rips. It broke the tires loose cruising at 60, then flooring it to pass some slow pokes on the highway. I am very impressed. Just everywhere drivability is crazy fast. Not to mention that now I can smoke on demand, where as before I could barely smoke with just the TST.

The only thing I have to do is figure out how to keep it longer. :-laf . Actually I have it for another week or until my bud gets back from work.

Anybody thinkin about it---buy one. I know I have to.

yep, got a temp download from a friend and with my comp it rocks  same thing... couldn't keep from breaking them lose. My truck smokes quite a bit with the comp but man. . with the smarty on #8 and comp on 2x2 smoked like 4x5 :D :D . Low end is unbelievable isn't it :) I want injectors next, but this smarty is kindof hard to pass up. . I'm sure I'll be calling Bob shortly :D

Mach 4 and a SMARTY make a good combo---today i degraded to level 7 before it went into the shop for my Cooltwist intercooler and silicon hose kit install( :{ too busy pulling double shift for the next 3 weeks without a day off to do it myself :-{} dam boss). From level #9 to #7 sure does make difference in the go factor, but alot less smoke out the "cool duals",don't think it will be on that setting for long once i get her back---#9 for me ;) ;) ;) . Later DW

fuel saver rcks

I am on my way to may madness. Today almost 800 miles logged running empty average speed is 75 (wa & or) and 85 (id & nv) average fuel economy so far at the 800 mile mark 19. 8 mpg no 5er.

I've heard from members in Montana at good mpg at high speed and I am a believer.

I can live with 19. 8 at these speeds.

maybe 65 on the way home  NOT :-laf

MORE LATER

Dunno when Bob will be able to get onto the web again.

Let me answer your question.

Bob is giving #1, the fuel saver a hard time... ;)

Wow! I gotta find a member near me with a Smarty so I can ride in their truck to see what this feels like. Oo.

my 98. 5 truck has smarty tst and rv injectors big loud spinny thing , love it great combo

wifes 99 truck has comp, smarty , bigger 90 hp sticks and bigger louder spinny thing

the tst stack is way better than comp , wife will be getting tst pm 3 soon ,

Yeah the Smarty is one of the things I'd like to get, but the transmission will have to be upgraded before I get it, cause I know it won't last long. Truck is on transmission #3 and this one isn't too healthy.

I had sw#9 downloaded(didn't remove EZ) and it was friggin' amazing. Saving cans and bottles as we speak. Driveability improvement is superb and the fuel saver setting is highly desirable considering $3. 48/gallon here in San Diego(sunshine tax included). :{

Darkhorse, are you coming to the get together in Wi? Iwould love to spin the smarty around the block. Let us know.

You are very correct when you say Mach 4s and a Smarty make a great combo. Take a look at my sig... :-laf

DoubleJ - the sticks have not arrived yet so I don't have them in. If I make it back to town for the 14th I will do my best to be there. I think you will be safe as I will not have time to put the sticks in even if they have arrived.

Nutter- thats okay if you can not find the smarty, I know where the ECM is located on the engine and it will work fine in my truck.

As for which is better, comp or TST... I have no idea. I know my drag comp on 5x5 with Smarty #8 (no timing) is an insane tire spining ride. Don't think you could go wrong with either set up.

"Cool dyno numbers" Todd F,combo(Smarty and the 4's) were recommended by Bob himself, hasn't guided me wrong yet. So with my truck being close to yours mod and make wise i guess i'm at about 425 RWH judging by your dyno #'s,cause i haven't ran mine yet with this setup. Might get a little more out of the B1 than a stocker hx35,if not---412 is OK with me. Oo.

Yes DWeiler, I was very impressed with the dyno numbers with the M4s & Smarty. I am sure the stock HX35 is robbing some HP.

Now I am just trying to figure what and how big for a new turbo to give the truck
