Anybody from Denver? How much snow?

Well Pit Bull, the news is saying the Denver Average is right at 2'. It really depends on what part of the city you measure from. My Grandparents right at the foothills in Littleton got just over 3' and still snowing. Have an employee that lives pretty close to DTC and she sees about that. However up in Hunters Glen, only 1 1/2' at best.

What part of Southwest Missouri you from? I have a good friend at CMSU in Warrensburg

Pitbull. .

I'm in the SE corner by the 470/Gun Club Road... I've had at least 5 ft not counting drifts...

This picture was shot this morning from my garage... everything was shoveled off yesterday several times this snow is what I got from 7pm to 6am... I put a factory air box in the picture for scale. .

I'm south of Springfield Missouri, about 1 hour from the Arkansas line. We have had our share of snow this year. We are only a few inches from an all time record. We got some rain and the high is going to be 63 today. Good luck in the snow and stay safe.

West of Berthoud we are still getting non-stop snow as of 9am Wed. It's hard to measure because the temp is high enough it's melting fast. Up here on my flat, warm driveway it's 8-10 inches. Down at the end of the lane by the mailboxes it's up to my waist. Drifts can be found that are 5 feet or more.

I live in the Arvada area and we got 21 inches last night on top[ of at least that much yesterday. The snow in the street is bumper deep. My 2wd is sitting under abut 4 feet of snow.

I'll second that Joe. Weird storm in the Springs, it looks like there are clear boundaries on where it's hitting. Fountain/Security has less than a couple inches but I'm told Black Forest has Feet!

Send some down our way! We wanna play too! :D :D

Brian

This AM up in Briargate, it's 1 1/2 ft deep, with 3-4 ft drifts.

Not as bad as Denver, but fun enough.

I've heard that DIA has ripped open that canvas roof over their Terminal... .

I heard 94, 24, and I25 were all closed today, though it looked on the news like 25 was open thru Springs. I didnt go anywherre yesterday. Too much piddling on the net and it got too late. HAd to dig my fiancee's dog out of her house this morning. Drifts 4+ ft. I stood on one, and sunk in about 6 inches. Very wet, but we need the moisture, too. SOutheast of Ellicott, there was a ridge between our house and the neighbor's about 4 ft high and 10 ft wide, and on either side was bare dirt. Streets are clear here, though they say 94 is still closed. SO we cant go anywhere anyway. Drifts pretty high in places. Black Forest got 3 ft, I heard. A friend had his chevy break down (2002 1/2T, auto, 14K) and then had to go to body shop because some redneck backed her truck into his on the truck stop parking lot where I was getting him from. ANyway, he is about 68, and this is his first blizzard. Not a bad one here, but he also is from Little Rock, so it was a site for him.

I have some friends that plan on going skiing in Aspen this weekend. Does anyone know if this will be good skiing this weekend in Aspen and do you think they will have a hard time getting there?

PS they are flying into Denver on Friday

Thanks

PitBull,

Flying into DIA on Friday might not be such a good idea. NO flights have left or flown into DIA for 2 full days and tommorrow sounds like at least 1/2 day it will be closed. Theya really backed up there, more than 4,000 passengers camped out at the airport and many thousands more rerouted to local hotels. They could reroute their flight into Grand Junction. Secondly, I-70 Westbound may not even be open this weekend. Its a real mess up there.

I don't know that Aspen even got that much snow. This storm pretty much stuck to the east side of the divide. The ski areas on the immediate west side got a fair amount. DIA is closed until Friday, then there will be heavy delays and reschedules, and I-70 closed until at least Friday Mid morning. Best bet to fly into Grand Junction and drive from there if possible to change their flight.

I was able to get my truck out for a little bit. The main streets were plowed and just wet. Most of the side streets were still impassable to all but 4x4s. The alley where I have to park is a nightmare. Only one way in and out, and it will never get plowed. The 'ol ladys Subaru is beached for the duration. It sits too low, and the snow is too deep and wet. Won't take much to get high centered. I was pondering volunteering for the call the hospitals were putting out to 4x4 owners to assist in transportation, but the dually is having to fight too much in this slop, and I really don't have the tires for this.

Well guys the snow finally arrived down here in Trinidad and boy did we get it. Right now its still snowing and blowing quite heavily and there is still a winter storm warning out for the area. Got to pull out two Fords along the way down to my buddy's ranch. The snow drifts were 5' - 8' in some places and we went through one snow drift that was as tall as my hood:eek:. Thank God for the snow because we sure do need it. .

Here in Salt Lake City, we get a little weather and last week we got a little snow but no Accum. Was truck driving up the I-15 tonight and Cedar City was getting heavy wet snow but up here in Salt Lake it is warmer and no snow on the ground.

Very wierd Winter here in Salt Lake. Last year during the olympics We got a fair amount and normal accumulations but the drought here is continuing into winter and they are forcasting a very dry and drought conditions summer this year.

Forcast for Salt Lake tomorrow is like 60's..... is 40 right now... .
