I was wondering if this is possible. . I want to put in a Home link visor in my truck. Does anyone know what it would take to do this? I was shocked to find out I had no place for the door opener in this truck yet my 98 Dak had a nice overhead location for it. Thanks in Advance

Oo.

Actually, to add to this post, does anyone know if you can get and retrofit a homelink module for the o'head computer like they have in the Laramie? I have an SLT and would like to add the homelink to my truck, too.

OK,

Does anyone out there have an '04 service maual that shows the upper console area or know of the partnumbers for this. I'm interested, didn't find anything other than general information.

???

Is homelink the same as blue tooth technology that lets you call home and talk to your toaster or washing machine? Oh ya, thats something I need! :D

Homelink allows the programming of your garage door opener into a button on the truck.

Bluetooth is separate and a wireless technology comms pipe for connecting cell phones, and computer things together.

While waiting for my truck to get the tires rotated, I talked to the parts man. The homelink is part of the full module that houses the trip computer o'head. He gave me a part number of 56049707-AC and a price of $210, but didn't know if you could just replace one for the other. I'll have to pull one out and see if you can do this...

For those who have never had homelink, it is a wonderful technology if you have multiple gates/garage doors to open. Just program up to three to open with a push of a button.
