New Years Drinking...

American Wedding...

I am looking for some Home Security Signs such as ADT, Guardian, etc... The ones that people put in their front yard when they have a home security system.

If anyone has any sitting around that you want rid of, please let me know.

Thanks

Andy

Andy:

Radio Shack sells cheesy "This Cardboard Box is Protected By a 24-hour Monitored Security System" stickers that you can slap on yer windows... .

If you wanted to be hilljack about it - you could yank an ADT sign out of the neighbors yard... . and replace it with a big, pink, plastic flamingo.

Or you could do it the really old fashioned way: Suscribe to a monitored security service and they'll throw in some signs... :D

(Sorry - I had to inject a little humor into this thread !)

My Dad has a few signs on his land that say "trespassers will be shot, buried and never heard from again" The local DEC (department of Environmental Conservation) officers get a chuckle out of it. He abutts state conservation land

Jeff: I wouldn't expect anything less from your Dad... he cracks me up. :-laf

Andy: I hope you weren't expecting anything productive out of this thread... . :)

I have a sign that say's "Electronic surveillance in effect, smile for the camera" complete with smiley face. By the way, my house had a system when I bought it. I stopped it. I lived with a system before and it's like being a prisoner in your own home. If the system uses a phone line, one quick snip and it's down. Most lowlifes know this.

My wife discourages me from getting one of those black silhouette of a rifleman in a prone position.

You can use cellular and or radio (Radionet/Alarmnet) as a backup. Any good system should be able to monitor phone line voltage and report, via backup, phone failed. You can also start video cameras rolling (CCTV) when the system goes into alarm.

All jokes aside... . I think Andy really was looking for someone out there that has some ADT or other home security signs laying around in their garage.

I'm sure someone out there has some that they don't use and would like to get rid of.

Thanks Matt...

ADT signs would be cool... :D

After we got burglarized, we got an ADT system that came with signs (I want them though) and for Christmas, my wife got me one that says "WE DON'T CALL 911" with a picture of a revolver pointed right at you. It's a little inaccurate though, it needs to be a semi-auto pistol!! Oh,yeah, we got cellular backup as well because the lowlifes cut our phone line, and gave our ferocious dogs treats.
