I have a 15,000 BTU air cond and I like to have my fridge and TV working is this to much for a EU 3000????

Like to hear from EU owners ... ... All others comment on your gen type and noise level

NOISE is a issue! Need quite but I want to be cool and I don't want to but 2 and put them in series one generator only for me

It will probably do it, but thats working it pretty good.

If I remember correctly, I had my 13,500 btu a/c and the fridge running off of ac, and the power converter charging batts at the same time. Forget firing up the microwave under those circumstances. Its been awhile, but I know when its running at a high load like that, altitude makes the difference if it has enough horsepower to keep up w/ the a/c cycling on, or not.

Its noticably stronger at the beach, than up in the sierras at say 7000 ft.

Wouldnt trade my eu3000 for anything else.

I know alot of the people are starting to go with 2 of the eu2000's in parallel. Thats another 1000 watts peak. Theyre easier to move around with only 1 person. The drawback is their gas tanks are smaller. The eu3000 runs a long time on a tank.

I have run my EU 3000 with the frig and AC as a test, but I did not like the voltage drop I got when the AC cycled. I decided it is better in the long run to buy a little more propane than abuse the generator. It is my understanding that the AC load will be higher when the weather heats up. I decided against parallel 2000's for the reason of fuel capacity. I can't see getting up in the middle of the night to refuel two generators.

The Honda is my best purchase ever with the possible exception of a TST plate!

Do a search on www.irv2.com - lots of EU3000 discussion over there. I have one and love it but haven't tried to run the A/C yet... ...

We were camping/dirt biking last weekend with 8 other trailers and the subject of generator noise came up. Amazingly ALL of the people - remember these are folks that ride dirtbikes - said they would spend/have spent the money for a quiet generator because they felt it was inconsiderate to have an obnoxious construction site type generator while camping.
