How safe am I, camping in a LIGHTNING STORM?

Very important to change the oil according to the owners manual. A friend of mine burnt one up by being lazy. I believe the first change is at 20hrs and then every 100hrs. I went to synthetic oil. My eu2000 only takes . 42 qt each change!

Another vote for two EU2000 run in parallel - I have a single EU3000 and it is difficult to pick up.

I think there are instructions on www.irv2.com for making your own parallel cable.

Another vote for two EU2000 run in parallel as well. I have this set up and it works great.

The cable is not hard to make.

Hadn't thought about going synthetic, but will. Looks like the Honda generator will get a lot of run time. Any idea how much time for engine to breakin? (With the Cummins B, think they recommend 10,000 to 15,000 miles) Maybe 200 hours?

On synthetic oil, Wal-Mart currently sells Mobile One, 5 qt jugs for just under $20. Regularly $22 + change. Really a good price. Have also used Amsoil gear oil, 75W-90, in truck rear end for years.
