Spray - Drill? Drill - Spray?

Sacramento Dump Stations

i just finished trying out my new honda eu 2000i generator today, and sure enough,it runs my ac unit (13,5000 btu Dometic)

just fine... . initially my voltage monitor showed 126volts,after firing up the ac,the voltage dropped to a steady 120volts.

i'll be primitive camping later this month,so i'll give a good work-out!!!!... . whoohoo!!!!:D i have a 26ft. Holiday Rambler 5'er and this size generator is just what i was looking for!!!. . take care. . tom ;)

Changing jet

Anyone changed the jet in their EU2000i? I've got the 60 jet (5000-7000 feet) and would appreciate any hints on how much I need to disassmable it to get to change it.

It's a great generator... just upgraded from an EU1000i (another great generator).

Thanks for the help!

Primitive Camping?

Since when does primitive camping include air conditioning? I thought it meant sleeping bags on the ground, pitching a tent, bathing in lakes or rivers and building a fire for cooking.

Jean- who has a tent larger than some RVs... ;)

My EX thought a 5 star hotel was primitive! No way would she sleep in a tent on the ground. Now this second wife, pitch a blanket on the ground on the side of the mountain and she a happy girl. But since I'm getting older and I've been there and done that, I'm ready to take my class "A" back out on the road again. With generator for the A/C, margarita blender, SAT TV, and all. For me pimitive is having to rake the pine cones away before I toss down the artificial grass. :D God,I love the outdoors. Especially when I can take a hot shower and sleep in my own bed.

I can appreciate the meaning of a quite generator. :D

How about we have a Group Pampered Campout after I get running again for a get together?

Tom, I have a 13,500 Coleman Mach on my trailer. I borrowed a friends EU2000i and it would not start my A/C unit. Did you have to turn off all of the other loads in the trailer to get the A/C to start? I am thinking about trying the Yamaha YG2800i to see if it will work.

One won't on mine either, but two do. I would rather pick up 55 lbs twice than the 150 lbs (EU 3000I) once.

hey guys... the only other load at the time was the converter... . running the a/c is a plus even if it means cooling down the camper and then shutting off the a/c to run other essentials,,(coffee pot . . tv etc)... at least i have an option now...

and yea. . as far as tenting, and sleeping on the ground,. . "been there. . done that"... lol. . "NO MAS"..... rofl... . happy 4th peeps... tom:)

My eu2000 has been such a promoter for Honda they ought to give me a couple. The eu2000 ran my AC really well right from the start, i have hooked it up to at least 25 other trailer's 5er as well as bumber pull and have yet to find a AC it will not start and run easy. This little eu has probably sold at least a dozen or so of these generators for Honda. I was a non believer in the begining but this little bitty generator has shown me the lite. Would not hesitate to buy another.

I live on the eastern side of the Sierra mountains of CA. We have real summers here. Today the temp is right around 104 I have often run the air conditioning unit when the temps where this high. I have two RV'S one is a 10' Bigfoot slide in camper this unit has a new Coleman 7,500 BTU unit. The other is a 34' Cedar Creek 5er and it does have a 13,500 BTU unit on it. The "eu" has no problem starting or running either air. Plus as I stated i have hooked this little generator up to at least 25 different trailer's, I have not found a one that it would not start and run just fine.

Thanks for the info. It is just a little perplexing to see some people saying it works fine and others saying it doesn't work. I guess I can always buy one and try it, and if it doesn't work out, buy another one for more power. Being quiet and lightweight are the best features, though.

And, ya gotta run a good THICK extension

I have 10/3 wire. It's outer diameter is as thick as your thumb. :D

I cheaped out and got a Coleman 6250 with the B&S engine.

I got it for the house during outages, not for camping. If I can save everything in the fridge and freezer, I'll be wayyy ahead. This is big enough for that and just about anything else I would run in the house, except for the electric stove, dryer, or hot water heater.

Someday I'll drop the $$$ and get the Honda.

Like said by others, since when does "primitive" camping involve A/C?:-laf

Gunny,

When did Sunnyvale move to the eastern slope?!

I live on the west slope and we definatly get our share of hot days. Think I'll by an EU for my toybox on your recomendation. Did you bomb the Honda??

cjohnson1, I feel the same way now that I am on Social Security. I have backpacked, canoe camped, tent camped, truck camped and now I am "suffering" in my fiver. These old bones would never survive another night on the ground, but I sure enjoyed roughing it when I did :D :D :) .
