hood insulation

A buddy of mine bought a 2002 3500 last week & it doesnt have

the insulation mat under the hood. We called the dealer they said

that 2002's don't come equipt with them. We think that they forget to put it on. Anybody know for sure?

My '02 doesn't have insulation, but I wasn't expecting it to have it since DC dropped it at about the 2001. 5 mark, IIRC. It has been a discussion topic here before. No rear cup holders either, I'll bet!

I wouldn't worry to much about the insulation. On my sons 99 it was rotting,some of the clips fell out and was hanging down so he just took it off. It was falling to pieces when he took it off. Hes got around 90000+. So far on mine no problem.

Do the 2002 trucks have the liners in the rear wheel wells? Heard earlier they where deleted also.

my 01. 5 didnt come with it . i complained about it and they put one in. they told me that was there way of cutting cost (dc). like the rear body mouldings ,and rear liners.

No liners in mine and at first i was upset... Now Im getting used to the new Look!
