Hood ornament

How much does it cost for a new hood ornament? Is it a chore to take the old one off? The reason I am asking is that I am thinking of replacing the ram head with a longhorn. I am going to try to take the hood ornament apart and insert a longhorn in the shield. Has anyone done anything like this?

I replaced the grill on my truck, ( long nasty story I don't like to talk about #ad
)I took out the emblem in the old grill shell. The emblem was held in with a glue similar to silcone, real rubbery and stretchy, when it finally came out it tore out over half of the silver inside of the ram head and I scratched the grill shell. I even heated the back side of the grill where the emblem was located it seemed to help release the glue. Remember though, I didn't care about the grill it was busted anyway. If a person was carefull it could be done ! #ad

I got a nice billet alum ram, ditched the plastic one new one is polished alum with the ram painted red, it looks pretty cool
