Without the hood pads, do the hoods get extremely hot? I had an 85 VW that you couldn't wash with a warm engine or it would cook the water droplets into nasty spots on the hood!

Looks great , but did it do anything for noise reduction, reduced vibration tendencies, (?) MPG, EGT's etc. ? :D :rolleyes:

I havn't had the oppertunity to run the truck much since the installation, as it was done just yesterday. I will check it out and report it later. As too the temperature question, the person who sprayed it on said the Rhino can take up to 350 F. before it will run. It does seem a little quieter at idle.

Every time I think I have spent enough money on my truck, someone plants another seed:( . That looks, great, Wayne:cool: . What did Rhino charge, if I may ask?. I will be interested in future reports. Does the weight effect the pistons that lift the hood?

Heat!!!!!??????

Wayne... you must be feeling better, you're starting to work on your truck again??:rolleyes: :rolleyes: looks good! Anyone know how ( average heat) runs under the hood? 350* you could cook a turkey, but my pyro-is always at 1000* plus? Wouldn't want to get any of that black "goop" dripping on the bird... :D :eek: :{ :{

Looks great. I'm also about to have my bed Line-X'd. I already decided to get my FFF done (folding flat floor :) ) now I have somethign else to think about.

BUT, I can't help but wonder...

1) 350* doesn't sound like a lot when you're talking about underneath your hood, pulling a heavy load up a 7% hill on a sunny Arizona July afternoon. I'd be real worried about runs/drips.

2) This wouldn't actually increase the heat under the hood, would it? I nkow that stuff disipates heat real well, say in a truck bed, but this is kind of a "reverse" application, so... ???

Now if it actually kept it cooler under the hood, that would be awesome. Naturally :cool:

I realy do not think there is a problem with heat, enoiugh to make the Rhino melt. The Rhino dealer said he had done complete engine compartments in different vehicles, and had not experienced any of the customers coming back.
