Should it be hooked to the line that goes to the rail? Or the line that comes from the bottom of fuel filter to the cp3? I currently have it hooked to the line comming from the bottom of fuel filter with a banjo bolt where it connects to the cp3? Is this right? I am only seeing about 900 on the guage at idle than when hammering it she will drop to about 600. Seems low to me. What do you think. I guess I should change my fuel filter and see if there is a difference also seeing how it is do for a change.

Thanks

Thats what I dont know. Which one should I be monitering? Right now I think it would be monitering lift pump where it is placed.

With "900" and "600", are you talking PSI or ?? Should not be anywhere close to 600 PSI on the LP!

If you are on between the LP and the CP3, then you are most likely monitoring LP pressure... I would assume that if you were on the line between the rail and the CP3 that you would be monitoring rail pressure...

But I was under the impression that the Rail Pressure Guage Kit was a plug and play into the existing harness and that no one had a guage to directly read the 23K on the rail???

Sorry about that it would be 6 and 9 psi. Its been one of those days.

But is that the correct spot to moniter or should I be on a different line. I am tapped into the one comming from the fuel filter bottom and that on the cp3 is next to a nut with a ball bearing looking thing in the middle.

If you are looking at the CP3 from the driver's side, there is the "ball bearing" thingie and a banjo on the flat face outward/upward... that is the inlet banjo for the CP3 (from the filter)...

You can also monitor it on the other end of that line where it leaves the filter housing... which almost sounds like where you are hooked into, but I also remember there being another couple banjos on the filter mount that were the return lines from the injectors/rail.

You should be able to trace the line from the CP3 to the filter IIRC.

I can get a picture tonight if needed...

I am pretty sure thats where I am tapped into but if you dont mind getting a picture that would be great. I know I would feel better than knowing if its hooked where it should be or not.

That's the right value for a stock fuel lift pump. You're OK.

You have it hooked up correctly. The bottom of the fuel filter canister is between the fuel filter and the cp3, and those numbers are correct for the stock fuel pump.
