Umm, I'd think you'd get dirt in them.

And why are 2 of the 3 mounted backwards?

I need a set that sounds like a train horn.

It's his backing alarm. :D Looks like thise will be VERY loud in any direction.

These aren't horns that sound like train horns. These ARE train horns.

They are so loud it doesn't matter which way they point. They are configured that way because it was like a jigsaw puzzle finding a location for them under the truck. There wasn't much space under there to work with because the frame rails suck up all free space. The two facing rearward have to because the fuel tank is behind them. The long one is facing forward so it won't hit the spare.

They run off a cylinder of N2 mounted in the bed and a real loco horn valve in the cab. I'll have more pics today.

NICE...

The wife and I were passing a semi one time - a nice Pete. As I passed, I saw that he had train horns mounted sideways on the frame behind the sleeper. I told the wife to give him the universal "sound your horn" sign. She did and the driver was happy to give her a blast.

I wasn't ready for how loud they were! We were probably 5' away with the windows cracked. We were both squinting they were so loud!! I think the wife nearly hit her head on the roof.

I got a good laugh out of it though:D

That must be a set of those Air Chimes...

I was sitting next to a car at a stop light the other day and the lady driver was putting on her lip stick... OH what I would have given to have my air horns on the truck at that moment. She would have give a new meaning to the word 'racing stripes':-laf :-laf :-laf

Holy smokes!

Man, I am not sure what part is funnier, those killer horns (and how badly they could scare people), or the fact that my wife just told me to put some on my truck!

Love the setup. I would hate to clean them out, but I imagine you could put some kind of screen/prefilter on them to keep debris out.

My wife loves them too. I was totally surprised when she was in the truck and I let loose. She busted out into a laugh and truly enjoys hearing the Train!

They don't get dirty where they are. As an example, take a look up under your bed between the spare and the bab of the cab. It's always clean there.

Now that is AWESOME !

I found a set of train horns at a local truck stop, but I figured I would be the one to give some ole lady a coronary over them, so I decided not to get em.

COOL set up.
