Last night I took the misses to town for supper and just before we got to the parking lot I thought I heard a horn sound for just a brief moment, I looked around and there were no other vehicles around us. Then we heard it again 10 seconds latter. I thought to myself, that's my pickup making this noise.

After supper on the drive home is when I could hear it with more frequency. The horn sounds when the clutch is disengaged, about 1 every 10 times. I held the clutch down to the floor one of the times it was sounding and the horn stayed on until I released the clutch.

For the time being, I popped the hood and found the horn to be on a circuit by itself so I pulled the fuse (location 45) and put the fuse in location 44, which is a spare. Anyone ever heard of anything like this. I can't think of any different circumstances that occurred yesterday that would of caused this.

Maybe its my pickup's way of telling me that I need a South Bend Clutch. :-laf

hmm... cheap wiring... the horn wires im sure pass through the same wire bundle that is very close to the clutch pedal. migt want to check so see for any rubbing. the clutch pedal is a plastic resin type of deal, so it would have to be puching the bundle into one of the bracing brackets under there...

i hate wiring issues. .
