Hi, trying to locate the wire that goes from the steering wheel to the horn relay. Anybody know what color it is and where to locate it in the cab?

The wire is in Pin #32 in connector C134, which is the big one with a ton of wires in it under the dash. It is over near the parking brake. The wire is 20 gauge, and is black with a red tracer. #ad

Forgot to add something... The horn relay is actuated by completing the ground path. That is, this BK/RD wire will be grounded when you push the horn switch in the steering wheel.

EMDDiesel, maybe you could add a second horn relay under the dash:
bring 12v to the relay
ground it through the horn switch
carry the 12v around to the contacts (the common)-the NO or normally open contact would then go hot only when you hit the horn.
where they'd both be relay coils I don't think you'd get any sneak circuits between the coils.

What i need is a positive source that turns on when you blow (push the steering wheel)the horn. I want to be able to hook it up to a switch so i can choose between the stock horn, the electronic air horn, or both. So if this wire you mention is a ground (negative) it will not work for me. My other option was to run wires all the way from the horns back to the cab, but i would rather keep this simple. Thanks again for your fast response. I really appreciate your help.
