Has anybody out there tried a different type of electric horn in order to lose the puny stock units? I was thinking along the lines of a set out of a caddie or some other large horn set without going to air.
I've always liked the "ooh-gah" horns, but I'm hooked on air now... much greater "shock and awe" factor. JC Whitney carries several versions, might be worth a try.
Air is fun, no question about it, but if you're set on something electric then see if you can round up a pair of the older 6-volt horns. Running the 6-volt horns on 12-volts will really make them scream.
My parents had about an '83 Volvo and it had pretty good horns on it too. A very annoying and attention getting kind of loud buzz.
