Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) horsepower question

Hey everyone, I have a 99 with a 5 speed, it has hi-flow injectors from scheid diesel (not sure what injectors they are but they said they were more than the 275's) and the older power edge box with the single button on it and 3 little lights on it for each level.



Could somebody tell me the approximate horsepower my truck should have? Flywheel and to the ground.

Not without knowing what injectors you have. They could be stock to +150hp. I believe the PE box was good for about 80hp by itself.

My buddy has almost the same set up, RV 275's, and the same box. At the strip it calc. out to be around 330-340 RWHP: Which equates to about 410-425HP

thanks for the replys, torque would be somewhere around 750-800lbs off the flywheel right? I think I have read that it is about a 2:1 ration of torque to horsepower.
