What yall doing/cooking for the 4th?

Happy 4th everyone-check out this URL

Should of added this to my other post about what yall doing for the 4th ...

If ya ain't throwing shoes on the 4th, you must be a Commie.

After the eat'n is done then the inevitable Horseshoe World Series begins ... one of my neighbors is always the undisputed king of shoes each year and lets everyone know it:mad:

Gotta find a way to kick is a$$ this year ... so what is the best way to throw them?

Who amungst all of yous has the most ringers in a row?

And who is the undisputed TDR Shoe Champ?

the only thing i know about horse shoes is they make it hurt worse when my horse steps on my foot. and it cost more to have them reset than just a trim job :D

now as for this thursday. i too will be starting the HS matches up, right after we wear the carpet off the washer game :D

washers, I am king :D

I've got a buddy that will pitch a game throwing 80% ringers and be upset that he had a bad game. If I ever need a partner, I know where to look.

I'm just happy to get 80% of mine close... :D

Horse Shoes

I can do okay if the the beer is limited - I prefer hand grenades because close counts a little better :D

If your a bowler, you can be very good at throwing. I have had up to 3 ringers in a row! I bowl only during the winter. I do like to throw the shoes though. Just played this weekend with my cousin and friends, me and my cousin kicked butt!!!!

The real question is ....

Can you throw the shoes without spilling your beer? Or hitting someone else beer?

The game gets real interesting when somone throws a lot of ankle busters ... you know the ones that roll out of the pit and wack someone :{

I love Beer and Horseshoes

And beer and jarts are another fun combination

Hell beers goes great with all outdoor games :)

It mustn't be genetic....

I throw the 'shoes like a typical putz, but my 9-year-old, RJ is freakin' DEADLY..... if it was billiards, he'd "hold the table" for like 2 hours or something

Holey Board

Todd,

I got introduced to the washer game while camping. I have only seen it one time. They invited us to play and it is addicting. They called it holey board or something like that. I guess because of the holes.

Now to the shoes, do ya'll use a back rotation or none at all or what?

Happy 4th

Tom
