i need to change the large vacuum hoses,(need the hose size) after noticing today that they are quite worn & cracked, want to prevent any problems in the future.

I see you are working on a 1995 pre-hyrdoboost truck with a vacuum brake booster. Just went through this not to long ago. My hose was weak and collapsed, cutting off vacuum to my booster. The hose is a weird one, bigger on one end that the other. I got a hose from the dealer, p/n 52008111-AB, which came with new squeeze clamps and it fixed it right up. It would take 2 of them to replace the whole run between the pump and the booster with the factory T in the middle.

You might check with Larry B at Foster Truck for the correct marine grade diesel safe hose.
