Hi gang, got a 2012 3500 Dually with 150,000 miles on her. Just wondering if I should switch out all the hoses for new ones. or go a while longer, any comments appreciated. thx,Terry

How many hour are on the clock? Anything close to 4K total, you may want to replace the turbo actuator while doing the hoses and coolant. They are spec'd with 4K hour components from the factory. I had mine go at just south of 5K hours. Since you need to drain the coolant for the replacement, might as well get it done at the same time. Get the City Diesel replacement on order from Genos as they're on a B/O situation. Should only take 2 - 3 weeks to get. The city one needs no calibration once installed! True plug and play setup. Truck drove like a real "pig" with out boost and EB! You don't need it to fail when towing heavy! The best thing about the city one is they're designed with 20K hours components. Also would do trans service and front/rear diff service also. Have a good starting point to keep track of things along with getting a peek of the fluid conditions. Just wanted to mention some other things to consider. Enjoy that truck!

What should be done depends on what records you have (if any) and your comfort level with riding it out. As has been said, coolant replacement (unless documented) since it is a 5y/100k interval. Engine oil and filter. 68RFE would likely benefit from a fluid change and filter (unless documented) and same goes for the differentials and transfer case (if applicable). Then look at the Power steering (hydro boost) fluid and turkey baster change it while you are working with ATF+4... lastly don't forget the most overlooked fluid on vehicle.. the brake fluid. Suck it out and refill the master.. then bleed the brakes till it comes out clean....I did all this on my 2004 when I bought it at 6y old / 95k miles and then followed the service intervals from there knowing I was set back to zero on all the maintenance.. also take a peek at the air filter and cabin air filter if equipped.

My self I changed out upper & lower rad at 12 years old along with coolant, T stat rad cap & updated the water pump, I have seen hoses that give out less than 5 years of age, thus I prefer to do preventive maintenance on a hose by either time or how it feels than to have a low cost hose it give out when away from home in the middle of no where, I'm cheap but not that cheap....

Hi gang, I guess I should have added more information to my post, We have owned the truck since new, changed oil and filter every 5,000 miles, I change the fuel filter every other oil change, change the boxes every 15,000 miles, and have the transmission seviced at about every 30,000 miles, have had the coolant changed twice, new water pump at 95,000,and changed the CV filter twice , doesn't have a hour meter on it so don't really know about the turbo actuator that Topzide mentioned, was just curious about the hoses at 150,000 miles, my service record may be a little over the top,but thats just me, cuz the old girl pulls a 2012 38ft Mobile Suites ,and I don't like walking,LOL. thx, guys for all the comments, anybody have any other suggestions feel free to throw them out there, thx, again Terry
