Just got back from a family trip to Branson, Mo. . A week prior to going I set the #10 plate back another . 030 more consevative and the AFC housing about . 002 forward but left the AFC spring alone. Well the truck drove fine and the EGT's were good while pulling the stock trailer. Well going to Branson from Tulsa with the 5th Wheel trailer in tow the EGT's would climb very fast and well above 1300 degrees just trying to get to 70 MPH. After getting the trailer setup I adjusted the AFC spring tighter and had to wait for the trip home to see how things would be. Well I feel this helped whiched allowed the boost to be higher before adding more fuel. Do I go back to a #11 plate cheaper, leave the #10 plate and pull the DDP stage 2 and re-install the stock injectors cheapest, leave the DDPstage 2's in and install the stock plate again cheapest or install a new charger. If I were to got to a new charger what would you recommend for pulling and everyday driving. I still have stock exhaust system with cat gone with a Walker muffler. If a turbo is the deciding factor cna I add the downpipe with a daptor that goes from 4" to the stock pipe?

If your running a stock charger and haven't upgraded the exhaust housing from a 12cm to a 16cm I wouldn't think of towing a trailer with a 10plate. The 10 plate is hot already and when you add in your injectors and the normal heat associated with the area you were in its going to tow hot. I'd leave the injectors and slip back to an 11 or a 12 plate when towing if you do not upgrade the charger.

You ask about a charger for your deal I'd say something in a 62mm S300 from High Tech or a similar company... ... Andy

I don't like the way my 62/12 doesn't light quickly and surges horribly when towing so you will want something smaller. Going with the smaller S300G with the 57 MM compressor wheel might be your best towing turbo.

Thanks for the input. It seems that prior to moving the plate back I was able to pull the trailers with a little more heat control with the right foot than what I was able to do on this trip.
