Hot Exhaust

Hi, everyone. This is my first post. Have enjoyed reading everyone's comments. I hope someone out there can give me some advice. I have an '03 SO Auto with 20,000 miles. This past weekend we made a trip to Arkansas running solo. I noticed that the right side of the rear bumper was blue as if cause by heat. Touched the tail pipe at the end; very hot. Engine temp. is normal and have not set any codes. Engine seems to be running normal. Does anyone have any ideas what to look for before I take to dealer? Thanks

I had the same thing a couple of weeks ago. The bottom right corner of my bumper had a blue stripe on it. Looked just like a chromed motorcycle exhaust pipe after it's gotten good and hot a few times.



Then I washed my truck... No more blue.
