Hey does anybody know what the free means right next to TDR member # on the hot juice form?

I was gonna call today but didnt have time. this is how it reads.





DODGE HOT 04. 5-05(600)TDR MEMBER #______(FREE) 100. 00





wHAT DOES THIS MEAN? Anyone know? Steve
 
A few months back, Edge's TDR user "juice" said that the upgrade would be free for TDR members. I have absolutely no use for 180 EXTRA hp, but I would love to say I've got 180hp chip next time some ford looser brags about his big 125hp weeny. I just don't know if I could do without mine for a week or two.



Put that into perspective once. Dad's 1995 chev 6. 5l was rated at 180hp flywheel. Chevy's big arguement at the time was that the Cummins was only 160hp. These chips can add more hp than what those engine had to start with. And some people wonder why there's reliability issues with newer trucks. :rolleyes:

The "hot" flash is free for members of TDR. I had mine flashed a few weeks back. A VERY big change. You will like the new program.
 
Ok, so this sounds great except I am internet stupid today. I can't find my TDR member number? I looked at my public profile but, I don't see it listed anywhere?????? I'm glad I held off sending mine in to get it flashed to the "HOT" program and now its free but, apparently I'm too stupid to fill the form out properly :(

Don't feel bad, I could not find my TDR number either. I emailed webmaster@turbodieselregister.com with my user name and asked what my number was. Got an email back with the number.



Still waiting for the TC/Trans upgrades to find out what the 180HP setting will really do.

Thanks, I'll try that. The real reason I held off getting the "HOT" flash when it was released is because I don't have a clutch that will take it yet. I can see that is now in my near future :D

So where is this "form" and how do we get the ball rolling on this?



Eric- I don't need 180hp either but what specifically do you notice as a "big change"?
 
I just talked to Edge and they said you don't want it if you are running a stock transmission and turbo. 180hp is "too much". They make you SIGN a waiver!

Apparently you lose the lowest setting which means that your current #2 setting on the Juice will be the #1 on the Hot.

I don't need the temptation.

I agree with the temptation being tough but, I don't see a problem with losing setting 1. I tow 16K lbs of enclosed race trailer across the Rockies on a regular basis and I do it on setting 4 without any trouble. On the bigger passes I have to get out of it a little once I downshift to 5th but, I could get it hot stock in 5th gear.
 
Well I was never able to resist temptation or anything free. TC/Trans within the next week I hope. Then I have to see what I can sell to find enough for the twins.

To increase the temptation, I'll I need to do is drive up the freeway to Ogden and have Edge reflash it there... I smell a two hour lunch coming on... .

There "change" is pretty dramatic on the level 5 setting. The seat of the pants meter defintily feels there is a good amount of power there. The first release of the let you know it was there with nice smooth power (even on level 5). This release kind of has a kick in the arse feeling when you stomp on it (level 4, and really on level 5).



I don't know about the rest of you guys, but after the flash, my level 4 and 5 really produced smoke around 1800rpm.
 
oh my smokes good on level 5 and I like it, the only problem I see coming out of the hot ver is my clutch not holding but I have to desaplin my self from going in level 5 alot just when my friend thinks he can beat me in it 12 valve, I towed my 10,000lbs trailor to reno and back from ogden with out any problems never spicked 1200 deg. know the tdr member # is so you can get the upgrade free, I got it easy just stoped bye edge took my box out filled out the wavier 10 minets later it was done.

Mine now smokes a fair amount on level 3/3(80hp). Will leave a solid trail of black smoke for half a block on aggressive acceleration. Smoke increases quite a bit on level 4/4(100hp). Don't really know what the level 5/5(180hp) will do yet, still waiting on TC/Trans parts.



Mine did not smoke on 80hp setting before, the only other thing that might be causing it is I switched from AFE standard filter to AFE Pro-Guard 7.

Okay, okay... . RC, did you just stop by or did you have to make an appointment?

Here comes that two hour lunch! Oo.
 
I just stopped bye and asked pulled the box off and they did it in about 10 mins. make sure you bring a phillips and par of pliers to undo the pyro wire
