I will tell you what that flipping pump is bad *** I think that every one should have one. the increase in hp alone is worth the extra money. when you are ready, give industrial injections a call they have the best price. their internet price is $1600 plus $400 core and shipping. I hope you do buy one they are geat!!!:D :D

Very well stated ;)

they claim 60 to 100 horse increase (haven't dynoed yet). there are no ecm parameters that needed to be changed. the mileage didn't really change on my truck but thats what they told me when I ordered it. the mileage really depends on the way you drive if you drive it like you stole it the mileage will drop if yo drive like a grandma it may increase you never know till you try it though. I still say that it was a very good investment!!

I drive both ways depending on conditions. Manuvering power is my term. I have the HO, so the question is, do I need to worry about the pump to ECM issue. I still have my original VP and am under the understanding that if I had to get a new VP that I need to get one specific to the HO motor. With that in mind, will this hot rod vp work or would I have problems  My understanding is, that they mixed a VP for an HO with a VP for a regular motor. Using the bigger pistons out of one and the length of stroke out of the other to achieve the desired results for a nice increase in performance. Oo.

The last concern is fragility. Some consider the VP to be fragil while others seem to think it is a good pump. I have had no problems with mine yet. I have a FASS system with a fuel cooler before the VP minuse the OEM filter set up. No problems with heat or any of that.

I like more power, but my rule is dependability, durability, reliability are first. If it can meet those requirements, then I buy. If not, I keep looking.

I guess I could always take mine down and have it converted and put it back on Oo. Then I would not have to worry about any issues.

I don't know about what they did exactly, I do know they used the ho pumps and reworked them with new elictronics that help with their life span but the internalls I know nothing about. if you call indurial injections they will give you all of the info you need. I posted their number a few posts ago they're open until abou 4:30 pacific time. I wish I could be of more assistance. don't quote me on this but I thought they offered one for the ho as well.

industrial injections is in utah so the road trip may be longer than you think. but they will ship it to you for 12 to 75 dollars depending on how fast you want it!!

well I hope you have the same great experience I did. when you do get your hrvp enjoy it. Oo. Oo.
I think they are a great adittion to any 24 valve!!

To provide some insight from the smokeless side of life... . I have an HRVP and do not have the comp hooked up. It is also currently on stock injectors however the B1-2 is installed. The truck is really fun to drive like this, certainly flat on power in the middle of the band, but I did manage to blow off a couple of ricers yesterday. I was genuinelly surprised at how responsive the power is, I was expecting a serious lag pig with the sticks/charger combo.

M4. 5s are on order, then I will hook the comp back up. I can't hardly wait, the truck ran great with the HRVP, DD3s and HY earlier this year. The bigger turbo and injectors should really unleash the full potential of the pump.

FWIW,

Bill

EDIT: Clarification, the comp is not currently installed.
