Coolant is down (about a pint) in the overflow tank after a 600 mile trip. Had the system flushed last year and new put in and it was low in the overflow tank so I had my shop do a pressure test on it and it checked out OK. It is a stock 95 with 85 thou on it. Any one else have this happen?

I've got a 95 with right at 200k. I think it has developed a crack in one of the end tanks (driver's side) It has only been leaking until the engine warms up and then expansion from the heat seals it up and it quits. Don't know if that could be your issue.

Gary,

I have had the dissapearing coolant issue for years. NO leaks. It's not in the oil and it's not burning it. I have given up.

I may try "Holy Water" if the local priest will bless a few gallons for me.

Gary. .

My old saying was when mine was doing that, don't worry until it shows it shows itself. Since you had changed it it is quite possible that ou never did get all the air out and it finally purged itself also. However,it is quite possible for it to be leaking inside into the combustion chamber of one of the cylinders under heavy boost and you may never know it.

Your staring to sound like those Hemi racers I know, you do realize that right,LOL. Seriously,I am thinking that the Holy water may just escalate the leak as it has more holes in it than your head,LOL :-laf :-laf .

One thing to note. .

Our 12v's are prone to cracking the heads between #5-#6 cylinder exhaust ports and along the associated head bolts back there. When they do,they will leak and run down over the passengers side of the block and evaporate or run down over the transmission bell housing and do the same, before they make any puddles on the ground. Its when you open up the eastern Version of a fault line in your head when its most visible and makes the side of your block all green, trust me on this one. I wish I had a picture of the head EEP took off my truck I knew then why it took me 5 gallons of antireeze to drive out there from here... ... . Andy

BTW Bill...

Here is a present for you.....
