hour counter and installation tips?

hi, all. i'd like to install an hour counter and would like to know which ones i should consider, which spot i should consider putting it in and how difficult is it to install?

Peter,I've used Stwert-Warner hour meters on lots of different equipment for years,they work fine. Recieved a flier from Surplus Center(800-488-3407)last week,they have govt surplus Faria hourmeters for $10,p/n 11-2288 that's about $30-40 less than elsewhere. Connect it up to any keyed hot wire and ground. If it was me I'd install it under the hood,they're tuff they'll take it.

i called that 1-800 number and ordered one (at the end of october) and two days later they called me and told me that they were out.

does anyone know of any more good deals out there on hour counters?
