Great Website here Guys. This is my first post, Just got my membership, but I have been following the forums for about three years now. I am in college so I can't afford a Cummified Ram yet, but I convinced my dad to buy a 2002 2500 extended cab, 4x4, ETH. We got the ETH because my dad doesn't want to modify the engine, atleast not yet, even though the dealer said that we could do whatever modifications we wanted to do and they would stand behind us:D

Any ways I convinced him to atleast get gauges for it. He has specifies that he wants an hour meter along with the pyro and boost gauge.

My question is: Is there a wire from the ignition switch that only has power only when the ignition is turned on, not accessory and ignition, ignition only. I would like something a little more permanent than a fuse tap into the fuse box.

Any help wpuld be appriciated

thanks - Phillip

If the turck is equipped with the overhead display, you can use the ET function to keep track of total time. I never reset mine, so it counts up to 99:59 minutes and then starts over. I log the time each fill-up, so I keep track of the 100's on paper.

Didn't get the truck with the overhead display. I will probably check the wires coming from the steering coulmn with a test light to see which on is switched for the ignition only. No big deal, I just figured that someone elsewould hyave done this already.

PnC I used a fuse tap on the power windows for my hour meter as the windows only have power with the key on.
