How do you pull up the hours? Mine is a 2004. 5, but the manuals are early 2004, could not find reference to hour logging. That would be useful information.
My LS 430 has an avg. mph tally on a mulitifunction odometer display. MPG directly correlates to avg. speed. Around town it seems to hang around 28 mph per tank, which is around 18. 2 mpg. Mix in some freeway and it gets closer to 40 and mpg is always better than 20. A sustained 75 mph 250 mile trip assures 25 mpg or better. Another neat feture is that the mpg has two counters, one for by the tank, and an overall mpg that can be reset, or left for a lifetime if you wish. Best of all, Toyota has figured out how to get the accuarcy dead-on. Differences from hand calculation are rare, and then its a tenth or two, basically well within top-off technique variances. Not that my rice burning sedan has a place here, but the point is this is very useful information to have, especially if reliable. In this day of cheap microchips, threre's no reason most vehicles should not have similar functions. How about multiple driver seat/mirror/steering wheel position memory fuctions too!
