I'm changing me turbo housing this weekend, and was wondering if anyone knows the sizes of the bolts ex:manifold to turbo, exhaust to turbo. Just in case I run into probs I'll have all the hardware available... Rick

Rick these are the tools I used to change my Turbo

ex:manifold to turbo, 15mm box open end wrench , exhaust to turbo 14 or 15mm deep socket, compressor housing to turbine housing 13mm box open end wrench

I got the housing changed over what a pain in the ***,Getting that extra inch out of the exhaust was a task in itself,I even got branded in the process:{ I took it for a test drive dont see any change in the EGT and there is a noticable difference in the spool up time, alot slower,I also put the BHAF on instead of the KN air charger system No difference either that I can see,I hope the little Number 16 cast into these housing does not mean 16cm cuz my old wastegated housing has the same cast into it. And I will really be ****** if I just did all that work for nothing:mad:

Time for a set of 370's to get the low end back? PDR has them on sale this month.

That wer't fer nuttin. Pratice my boy. It's good for the soul. I had mine off and when I found the wastegate wouldn't work, everything went back together and back on the truck. Nothing accomplished . I did have a leak where the turbo oil drain goes into the little rubber section. I didn't have it clocked right. I found that, 400 miles from the house on vacation. What a mess. I did manage to get it stopped and when I got back home I installed a 14 housing and got it right this time.

Also the nut on one of the yoke clamps will fit the manifold exhaust stud. I lost one and found that out by trying.

Practice Practice. I love it.

Unless I'm mistaken, once you reach 16cm you need to make the exhaust adjustment. So, if you had to fiddle with the exhaust you got a different housing than you had on to begin with.

Ummm, does that make sense???

Boy the whine in my turbo sure did reduce when I put the BHAF in,when I had the K&N system in it was real loud, does that mean its flowing better with the BHAf or the K&N?Or could it be the housing change?

I bet swapping to the larger housing is making your turbo spool up later, so by the time it's spooled up to levels that you'd normally hear, your engine noise is drowning it out.
