Engine/Transmission (1994 - 1998) Housing with Jacobs

I've looked and couldn't find any information on people changing exhaust housings with the factory Jacobs installed. What's available that will allow the Jacobs to bolt right up? Will the Banks 14cm work? We're looking at upgrading and want to know what's available to use.

I'm not sure how the exhaust brake would attach to a nonwastegated housing. The Jacobs exhaust brake bolts to the exhaust housing by removing the wastegate cover plate and bolting it into those holes.

Not on mine. It replaces the elbow at the turbo and has nothing to do with the wastegate. I have used it both ways.

I was looking at some pics on the 'net and see the that you are describing that replace the elbow. This one is from '95 and it replaces the cover over the wastegate. I see how the newer one like you have would be a better design.

If it replaces the wastegate cover, then yes a banks 14cm housing will work. It looks like your stuck with either a 12cm wastegated housing or a 14cm wastegated housing. Those are the only 2 options I can think of that would work.
