I also will be there. Someone that knows could possibly tell the rest of us the exit #. I know it is Airtex, but it should have a number also. My wifey will also be with me. She gets to go shooping after the meeting

How about a dyno run after the meeting?? #ad
. We have one that will commit on the 21st. However, there are a few drawbacks:
1. Clubcab and possibly Quad cab long bed trucks may not fit on the dyno. The way to tell if your truck will fit is to measure from the end of the rear bumper to the center of the front tire. The maximum length is 206".
The owner says he can modify it to fit but it would not be ready before the 21st.
2. Duallys would have to remove the outside rear dual to keep from possibly
damaging the rear tire.
3. As of now, the dyno will not calculate the torque measurements. No RPM pickup. Trying to solve that little problem and may be corrected by the 21st. If not we can calculate the torque mathmatically.

Price is $55. 00 for two pulls on the dyno.
The dyno is located just south of Houston in Pearland. The owner of the shop would like to work with us in the future as well. He's willing to invest money to better suit the dyno for our rigs.

I know this is last minute so, we could either change the meeting place further south or just caravan down after the planned meeting on the north side. There is a good breakfast place in Pearland called Kelly's if we want to change the meeting place. Either way is fine with me.
What do you guys think? Any suggestions?

Hope to be there the 21st. I am in the middle of starting up a new expansion in my facility, so my time is not always my own.

John

I know this is just me talking, but i'd rather just caravan down to pearland. I think I can find the cracker barrel resturaunt since it's close to the woodlands, but i'd rather follow someone else to the dyno spot. Isn't the cracker barrel close to like aldine and the woodlands?? I sure hope so, if not then I don't know where the hell I'm going. #ad

It makes no difference to me if we meet in Pearland. I am not sure if I can dyno with a slipping clutch but I'm not ruling it out either.

Duallies must remove one rear tire? Long bed
QCs might not fit? No torque readout? Well
shoot, I don't want to whine louder than my
turbo, but this doesn't sound like my day to
dyno. . #ad

I would prefer to meet at the Cracker Barrell in North Houston. Pearland a little too far for me. I have too many other things to do on Sunday.

Just got back from south Texas and reading the latest. I am one of the new kids on the block but I think we should keep it at the cracker barrel since that is what we started planning to begin with. Someone did mention changing every month to help make it more convenient. I do agree with that. It just seems to be disorganized to change something after it had been planned. My truck won't fit the dyno but I am interested in learning what an edge is and putting a face to some of these names. I definitely don't want to cause ill feelings with any member so I will keep watching for what happens. I will try to meet 243 and those guys and boogey on up there, I will try to be there at the 6:15 time unless I hear otherwise. Thanks

Yes lets keep the location as is. It is not
too far since I live near Lake Conroe.

I'm looking forward to meeting everyone and
checking out the dyno session!

Gitch-

How about the dyno mid-afternoon for those that want to make the run to Pearland?

It sounds like a lot needs to be confirmed before we use that particular shop. At least three dyno runs for 55. 00 would be better. If one is a dud you can average the other two.

I didn't know if I was going to make it down to the meeting due to my work schedule, but I was able to get someone to fill in. Looking forward to it even though I do think my truck will fit on the Dyno,LWB-QC. but I would like to try the PE/EZ. I've been to Majestic Turbo and have some good information to share.

Kevin @ Majectic Turbo is going to loan me some a couple of turbos HX35 & HX40 to show the difference in size. I am also going to bring some of their performance work for a "show and tell"

You Da Man #ad

Can you ask them what thier recommendation would be if a person (me) was interested in twin turbos?
Thanks looking forward to seeing everyone.

Any request from Majestic Turbo. I'm going up tomarrow morning to pick up turbos and their performance upgrades. If you have anything special your interested in let me know.
