Great Time In Pedleton Saturday

Ok, what's the deal? Is anybody going to be there? It's at the Cracker Barrel on I-10W @ Barker/Cypress. What time? Let's get this thing back together.

PLEASE REPLY IF YOU ARE GOING

Also, thought you might be intrested in this if you missed it.

Andrew

I mentioned in an earlier post that we could try meeting this month at 10:00 am to see how it works. If not, we'll just go back to 7:00am. This would give out of town guys a chance to meet with us and not have to get a hotel room the night before.

It would also mean those lazy young guys like myself don't have to wake up so soon.

Right Bill?:D

Anyone got objections?

Well, since you wimpy young farts would whine too much were you forced to get your behinds outta bed before the crack of nine, we'll give it a try. :D

I guess I'd better come so that I can let you know all the action we took at the February meeting! ;) :D Pam, bring the checkbook - we voted for some BOMBing goodies for my truck!

So, it's 10:00 AM Sunday at Cracker Barrel West, huh.

Rusty

Please don't flame me for posting kid. Although I am not going this Sunday, because I will be in DFW, I would like to put my $0. 02 in for the 12:00p meeting time. The only location that I can make by 7:00a is the Cracker Barrel at Barker Cypress. If it is good for most people at 12:00p, I would like to see it stay there.

I hope the 10:00am time is something everyone can work with.

Actually, I noticed that I'm working graveyards that day so I might be able to drag my butt out of bed and make this one too. :)

Rusty, I tried to get BOMBing goodies the same way. Got tired of waiting and just bought my own. :D

me,

I know that we have not meet yet, but you will learn that I don't really flame anybody unless they flame me first, even more so on these forums. As long as it is not 8 or 7 I am happy. Think about it, you have to get up that early on the weekdays, why get up that early on the weekends? Don't make since to me, but hey, I'm a kid:D ;) :p

Andrew

ok so as of now....

There are only 3, maybe 4 people going? Anyone who is not a member here but is reading this is more then welcome to show up. Just send me an e-mail and -- email address removed --

Okie, where are you man, I know you like these meetings.

I do like the meetings. I was hunting in Nov. and Dec. and went out of town on one meeting date. I think one time I had to get the 5er home. Have also been reading about meetings and then someone drives there and no-one is there. I know that everyone can't be pleased but I like the 7am meetings. Personally I think 10 is too late for breakfast and to early for lunch. On the other hand I know I can eat at home too. Also not everyone will be able to make it because of commitments and family stuff. We had that time to allow people to come and chat and then go back home and do stuff around the house without killing the whole day because it is the weekend. It is just one weekend a month and I know it is tough to get up early if you don't have to. I am going to try my best to make it to this meeting and see some of the guys I haven't heard from in a while. Like at 10 or 12 it kind of messes with the rest of the day to a certain extent but like I said I will keep watching and when a time gets nailed down will try to be there.

Maybe

Maybe I can get up from my mid morning nap in time to make the 50 mile drive. Some folks CAN get up early when they got "goodies" to install on their ride, right Kid? All kidding aside, I have to go back to the farm so I'll try to stop off at the meeting either going up or coming back, weather will be a factor as to when I go.

Guys, I'm sorry but I'm going to have to miss this one. I just learned that all my campaign signs have to be removed by next week and Sunday is the only time I'll have to do it. There's only 150 of them put up county-wide. Anyone want to do a rally-type event down here? You know, race our trucks to a location, last one there gets to pull up the sign and T-posts, the rest of us race to the next one, etc. ? :D

an old member steps from the shadows.....

just got an email that read like this... .

I am going to try and make the meeting on Sunday, but I can't guarantee it. I am a former TDR member who posted under the name BAKE for about a year.

Tell the LSTDR boys that I am in for the Nov. drag race in Baytown. I am going to try to resubscribe and hopefully make it to the next houston dyno event, whenever that is going to be.

Just thought some of you might like to know this.

So now we have... .

Those who WILL be there

TxDieselStud

Okie

Bake

RustyJC

Those who MIGHT

Gitchesum

Grandpappy

Those who WON'T

Chris

Just curious, how the election turn out?

Missed the runoff by 84 votes out of 2105 total cast. Although I'm disappointed by the results, I can't complain- it was the first time I had ever run for office and I enjoyed campaigning. I met a lot of great people whom I never would have gotten to know otherwise and I learned a lot about politics. The experience was wonderful, albeit expensive. You never know unless you try. :)

Bummer, we've only met once but I honestly think that we need more people with your attitude in public offices. I like your kind of "political correctness:eek: ". Cudos for giving it a shot, my hats off to ya.

Hey where is that there PREZ ? Did he just collect everybodys $10 and leave town ? Change the meeting time but not show your self ? I guess thats what happens when the 3 Stooges are in charge !:--)

No one has just taken the $10 and left town. It is in a bank account and fully accounted for. Along with the proceeds from The Texas Rally.

As far as changing the meeting time. It was posted a couple of times and everyone's input was asked for. A few people replied that is was something we could try. It was also suggested at the get-together in January by several of the guys that were there.

If the 10:00 am time proves to be a bad idea, then we just move the meeting time back to 7:00am. Not that big of an issue. All we're trying to so is make it so everyone has the opportunity to meet, have some good food, and talk trucks. Heck, we might even get some guys from out of town to come down and visit with us.

As far as the name calling goes, I'll just say that it's totally uncalled for.

Mr. HomeBod, I do not appreciate you calling Joe P. , Or Curtis H. , Stooges, But I will not tolerate (under any circumstance) you calling my wife a "stooge", the guys can defend themselves but if you want to attack my wife you will have to go through me.

P. S. If you don't like the way things are going why don't you just quit the club, why hang around calling names and dragging it down. You have no idea how much work they are putting into this thing (LSTDR).
