Don't you love it when your brand new truck has its first issue?
After a day spent towing our little 16' Airstream about 400 miles, I was feeling pretty happy with our new Ram!
Now I understand why people love their diesels for towing! The sounds, the exhaust brake, the fuel mileage!!!
We got almost 15 mpg pulling the Bambi even through the hills into Ahheville NC.
I was saying really nice things about the truck until we came out of dinner last night and I noticed that the dash was illuminated an hour after we locked and left the truck.

Well, to make a long story short, after trying soft resets of the system and a hard reset (unhooking the batteries for 30 minutes...all actions directed by Ram) the lights are still on! I finally pulled a fuse!

Now I have to find a dealer who is open on a Saturday, beg hem to look at it and probably live with it till we get home.

I still love my 2016 Ram Limited but she testing me....

I should mention that I'd already figured out that the UConnect Access didn't work on the truck as delivered...sigh...

Update...
Happy surprise, after spending last night powered down (no fuse) everything in the dash is working again!
I'm going with "temporary glitch" ...

Nice try... I still love the truck! Just spoke to a service manager about the issue and he suggested a reprogramming of the body ecm would resolve the issue if it continues. The U Connect Access is most likely a radio replacement. No big deal either way.

Besides, we love our Bambi and it fits in the driveway!

Did that last night (at Ram's suggestion) didn't seem to work but the fuse out all night seems to have made it better for now. Everything's fine today!

Dash lights were out all day today..
Went out again tonight (to the same restaurant as last night no less- you do these things when you are on vacation and find a good one!)
and the dash lights are on again tonight...

Must be our choice of restaurants!

Fuse is out and lights are off!
If I had to pull that fuse every night if still love this truck! We will try to find a dealer to reprogram the BCM next week...

Just a quick update...
My 2016 Ram is such a superior vehicle that it appears to have repaired itself!
Yesterday, the UConnect Access began working and all of the lights go out when they are supposed to.
Stopped by a dealer today just to ask about it and they did a quick code scan. It appears that the BCM and the PCM had not been communicating. The codes where "set" however and this indicates that the problem is resolved...
What a good truck!
