I have been running Lucas. When I ordered a lift pump from Industrial Injectors, they recommened either the new Delphi Lubricity Additive Plus or the Stanadyne. Any opinions, (pun)

there are lots of opions on fuel addatives, I have been using mmo and howes meaner together since new. now have 403550kms or about 245000 miles on original vp-44. others have their own best solutions.

I had 305000 km on my original lift pump and injection pump. When I bought the truck I did the lift pump right away and low fuel pressure alarm. Still have the original VP44! The right diesel additive goes a long way!

If you can get some bio get it. You get all the benefits that an additive gives, almost twice the lubrication of #2 and a higher cetane rating. B100 has worked real well for me for almost a year.

I called Howes yesterday and was told it is not necessary to add anything to the fuel for lubricity if you are using their product. He said to use 6 oz. of Howes per 25 gal of fuel. I was interested in adding MMO but he said it's not needed. In October they will have more lubricant in their product to offset the lower sulphur diesel lubricity.

DThelen- ive tried that acetone trick in my 1998 Neon- I was "unhappy" with the 38+ MPG I was getting :-laf , I went to a paint store, bought a can of acetone, was definitely not impressed. Granted, it was winter, but the car actually seemed to suck down gas quicker than before. I will give it another shot in summer, weel see what happens. acetone is expensive too! the acetone isnt gonna come near my 04 CTD- I am very happy with the mileage im getting (18++) so Im not gonna try and fix it!

I normally run MMO, but on my last tank I added Lucas... Right after adding the Lucas, I noticed my egt to be about 100 degrees higher than normal :{

Increase in mileage- very very little!

When I run MMO I never have the egt thing happen.
