Maybe better yet is these

Complete 3rd gen lamp assemblies all ready done. I don't know how good they are but look interesting. The seller has them in black housings too for those with black trucks.

The price is right if they work good.

Yet another option I found is to simply replace the 9007's with HID bulbs supplied in this HID conversion kit. I might have to go for that now to improve on the low beams.

I would love to hear about someone's personal experience with the HID conversion. The price is very reasonable as compared to other HID conversions I have seen.

now who can we get to buy these and try them out? :D

i'm interested in how they are sae/dot approved? because they look fresh off the boat from china. what about that 41. 99 for shipping and handling!!!!! they must be REAL heavy!

I just bought a set of those off of ebay , I investigated ahead of time and found out they are made in taiwan. I really only wanted them for the housing , I am in the process of converting them to The real HID's. they are only 35 watt ,but more lumens per watt than Matt's I bought some raw bi-xenon off of ebay. will show some pics when closer. Alot of engineering for adjusting the beam.

P. S. I thought the lighting that came on these Taiwan lights are junk. Keep the stock ones.

I see the link I posted to convert the OEMs to HID is for single beam only so asked the seller a question and they will have the 9007 Dual filament HIDs in 2 weeks. They are 250. 00 shipped. Low is HID and high is Halogen.

Les Stallings makes a good buyer beware on the complete housings.

I must say that the 120mm Hella's I put in the bumper are so bright you have to make sure to shut them off on traffic so for me this fixed my high beam trouble, just now it looks like someone turned the lights out when I go to low.

if only someone had a ligitimate product - there would be an item that would sell

i would go the route you took matt, but i often use my stock fogs as daylight running lights so people can see me coming - there are a lot of shadows around here (trees) - your solution would roast folks' eye-balls even during daylight hours

Matt,

Who's product are you talking about here??

Don

Don't waste your money on these conversion units. they don't work well in a halogen housing , you have to have a projector (lens) for these to work right. The Gov. of U. S. and europe are trying to get these off the market. Most of these are Taiwan junk. Try this website hidtech.com they will convert your stock ones , they do nice work

Was looking at this, Headlight replacement and thought, humm. . maybe. .

Then scrolled down to the bottom. . Almost $50. 00 for shipping and insurance... Seems a little much for UPS ground! Maybe they are shipping from Tiawan!

Don't that seem a little excessive?

You could look at this site: www.borealistruck.com While they don't show a conversion for the newer trucks I know he is working on it. He has both HID and Halogen setups. I know the HID's on his truck are wicked. The best part is that he is a TDR memeber and does VERY VERY nice work. You can bet that if Bob does it, it will be right and work forever.
