Here I am

How are the 6.7's and the auto (both Aisin and 68RFE) holding up?

My 05 is nothing more than a yard anchor lately. I keep putting transmissions in and as soon as I do it shears them out.

I've decided that when I fix the truck (new transmission should be back in next week) that I am going to trade it off. I drove both a cab/chassis and a 3500, both were 6 speed autos. From a drive standpoint, the 3500 with the 350hp engine was a lot better than the c/c. It obviously rode better (which is secondary) but the power was the biggie.

Also, Dodge is offering a $3500 rebate on the 3500's vs $1000 on the c/c.

Although, the manual says the Aisin carries a 180,000 mile warranty which is HUGE.

Argh. Decisions decions.

EB,

Thank you for all the answers Sir. You have helped me out greatly!

Guys,

PM's are appropriate at times, for sure, ... use 'em myself.

But overall, I think it is good when we remember that info broadly shared-with-the-membership is really the heart of this (or any other) forum. ;)

I do miss the HP on mine, but I didn't trade my 04. 5 either so when I want power I drive it. I can sure understand the your hesitance on the C&C but I dont regret getting the C&C knowing I have 5K load capacity and after my service bed by B&W (outfitted) I still have 2. 5K left, so I really had no choice and I did get the G56 mans tran.
