As some of you know, I am looking to get out of my Furd and back into a Cummins... I have been looking for a while, with no luck. I found this one the other day, and called on it. The sales manager said he would sell it for $29,950. What do you guys think?

On Edit: This truck has a build date of 6/04, does this make it an 04. 5 with the 600, or a 555? I would prefer a 555, since I already have some goodies for it.....

Call Tomeygun or someone at Dave Smith Motors.

They can get you into a brand new one for a similar price. You'd have to go and get it, but it would be worth the trip.

I would think you could pick that truck up for $27k or maybe a little less if you were there with check in hand.

If they have it listed at $31. 5k, you can bet they gave the person that traded it in $23k or so. With the way rebates and family discounts have been for the past few months, the dealers were able to steal trade-ins from customers.

JCleary... Thanks for the advice, and the recommendations... Those will come in handy if I decide on a new truck, but I am going to try and get a 305/555 before I seriously start looking into the new ones. I had great mileage and reliability with my 03, and would like to find another one... .

John :D

It seems a little high in price, but its a nice looking truck. My 2004. 5 w/11,000 miles on the clock books for 32,000 and its a loaded SLT.

Good luck!

What is that in the Bed???? Kinda looks like it lines the walls of the bed.

Looks like he put on some cheap bed caps before the bedrails and Headache rack... . These would be the first items taken off if I get this truck :)

VIN check tells me its a "600" with a NV5600...

PS - shows a ring and pinion was replaced too, ;)

Call me if you have any ?'s

EDIT - Funny thing too, It shows CA emmisions

Thanks for the VIN search TomeyGun, it is appreciated... . I guess I can go ahead and scratch that one off the list. My fiance wants me to find a new truck by this weekend, so we can get it out of the way, but it's hard to find a decent 03-04 with good mileage that hasn't been beat to death with a gooseneck.

John :(

If you are going to spend that much on a used one you can look around for some leftover 05s still on the lot and only pay a price similar to their original published asking price or less. That is what I would do If I was looking at spending that much.

I like the T-Handle shifter! I wonder if it comes with some extra hp?

According to the listing it's a SO. I would bet it's a LOT cheaper.

Most salesman don't know the difference between the two... . It is a 6 speed, so therfore would be a HO. I am waiting on a call to find out the pricing.

John

I would have to agree with all previous posts, to high. My 2004. 5 went of the Idaho dealers door for $32,700 (pre tax). That included several upgrade groups.

Here is the next runner up..... More miles than I wanted, but it's a Cummins, so it shouldn't matter :) Should be considerably cheaper as well. What do you guys think?
