MMcCallie said:I think most educated people would agree that black smoke from the tailpipe of a diesel is a bad thing. Is it cool to purposely invoke known diseases by intentionally tuning a vehicle to run improperly, wasting fuel, raising costs for everyone, and carelessly depleting our resources? Would you intentionally inhale a big gulp of those fumes? Have you seen the soot stains on buildings throughout Europe from black diesel smoke? Is it cool to knowingly raise greenhouse gases when everyone is conscious of the pummeling impact from such pollution?
Perhaps these are some of the reasons other board members considered the idea of increasing black smoke juvenile. Smoke is certainly not the most salient promotion of a Cummins or any diesel. Definitely not why i love and drive diesels. If you've researched measures being taken for the near future of diesel emissions and why such steps are being taken, it is likely that increasing tailpipe pollution would seem fallacious to you as well.
MMcCallie,
Couldn't agree with you more! There is a price to be paid for driving stupid, Air Pollutation, a ticket, tougher laws ect. There is no free ride.
Don't get me wrong I have done some pretty stupid things in my life, that I kindda wish I hadn't!!!!
