illflem: thanks. I was assuming nothing changed until the 3rd gen engine in 2003. Looks like a mid-year change, though, since there are a couple of 2002 posts saying they've got a vacuum servo.
 
It seems that when any vehicle undergoes major changes that some features start changing the year before the big change with a mix of different systems in the same model year. Perhaps it's done that way to ease the production line into the changes and to use up components that won't be used again.
 
I forgot to answer the lead poster's question: how can you retard your cruise control?



Well, when I first installed my EZ, the CC acted pretty retarded:-laf



I moved the jumper from 3 to 1 and it's a lot better. Still pretty aggressive with the injectors added.
