If all else fails, they USED to-not sure if they do anymore-bolt a metal tag to the diff cover with one of the bolts that closes it shut. The tag has the gear ratio on it. Climb under and look for the tag. It might be hard to spot as they are usually painted over ther same color as the diff and caked in dirt.

You have 3. 54 gears assuming that tag on the cover is the original. 3. 73 gears were not available from the factory for the Dana axles, it was only 3. 54 or 4. 10 gearing in the 2500 and 3500 trucks. You can go to Danas website and use the bill of materials function to find out everything about that axle. (Axle Bill of Material) It's hard for me to see the numbers, but it should be the one right after the 3. 54.

I must apologize. This pic you sent was the tag I was talking about. I looked at it quickly, not closely and thought that it looked like a VIN tag. You found what you were looking for.

Next time you change the oil in your rear count the teeth. Ring gear teeth divided by pinion teeth equals ratio.
