How common are the ISB 3.9 and any other info on the V-6 in the TDR magazine

VW's Real Pickup

I was wondering how prevelant the ISB 3. 9's are in the market. I am looking for a used deisel (or wreck take out) and was reading the Cummins web site about this one.

On a related topic, in this months TDR, there is the article about the V-6 that Cummins makes overseas. Is this a "gonna make or a its availabe. " Just curious because a 4000 rpm limit is certainly attractive, even if the torque looked less than a 4bta.

Thanks for any input

4BTA/3.9

There are lots of these engines in use - many of them industrial, some in ag equipment, breadtrucks, etc. I don't know anything about a V6 version. Ray
